Get abusive megachurch videos removed from social media

TB Joshua | PIUS UTOMI EKPEI/AFP via Getty Images Facebook and TikTok are platforming videos attacking people who accused a megachurch founder of grooming and sexually abusing its members.

There is a widespread and ongoing pattern of abusive content broadcast by the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) and its supporters that appears to violate the social media platforms’ terms. The content targets whistleblowers who have gone on the record with allegations of sexual and psychological torture, financial fraud and criminal negligence by Joshua. And SCOAN also has a history of promoting homophobia and dubious health claims.

YouTube has already taken down the main channel run by TB Joshua’s megachurch empire. But TikTok and Facebook have yet to take action. We have written a sample message for you but it’s far more powerful if you use your own words. But you might want to tell TikTok and Facebook that:

  • You object to the content on the TB Joshua Ministries Facebook page and the TB Joshua Teachings TikTok channel
  • You think that this content contravenes their policy guidelines
  • You are also concerned about other abusive content associated with the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN)
  • YouTube has already taken action
You can message both TikTok and Facebook. (Just tick either or both of them in the form below.) Tell them why this matters to you. And please be polite and respectful. It makes your message much more effective. Please direct your ire to the situation, not the people reading your message.
